The design:

We will be sticking with a modern, minimal, and simple aesthetic for our daughter’s room. The space will be both practical and functional.

The DIY:

We will be doing the following do it yourself projects in our daughters room.

  1. Removing her reach in closet and building a full size platform bed.
  2. Removing her original ceiling fan and replacing it with a modern one.
  3. Painting all walls the same color as the rest of the house
  4. Sanding down the orange hardwoods and leaving them natural.
  5. Replacing all original trim with updated trim.
  6. Building an arch for her platform bed.
  7. Installing a Pax Wardrobe from Ikea to serve as her closet.
  8. Installing wallpaper.

We recently added some new DIY projects to our previous One Room Challenges. You can check out our DIY bathroom vanity here, our DIY headboard here, and our beadboard paneled hallway here!
