Update your kitchen faucet for less than $100

When we flipped our kitchen we purchased almost all of our materials from Ikea. There are several pros to ordering kitchens from Ikea. The top pro is hands down the cost. You can design a kitchen that is extremely affordable for every budget. There are also cons. One of the biggest cons in my personal opinion is keeping every single piece of paperwork to make sure your warranty is valid (like our broken sink that we cannot replace), and when products you’ve purchased are no longer in store/discontinued. We’ve obviously ran into both of these cons… ;).

However, when we purchased our kitchen sink faucet we made a huge mistake that we’ll never make again. That mistake is that our kitchen faucet wasn’t a pull out/pull down faucet. Once upon a time I absolutely despised cleaning our kitchen. Dishes would pile up for days (pre-minimalist day problems), and I would just walk the other way. Fast forward to present time and cleaning our kitchen is one of my favorite past times. I feel like the entire day runs smoothly if the kitchen stays in order.

I digress. So our kitchen faucet wasn’t a pull down/pull out which resulted in several issues when it came to my everyday kitchen cleaning routine. If there was any food scattered in the sink, you know…from children who sometimes just throw their cereal bowls in the sink, I had to use my hand, a cup, or a bowl to remove all of it. This doesn’t seem like that big of a chore, but it definitely messed up my groove. I spent way too much time trying to clean the sink, when there was such an easy solution.

Today I’m going to show you how you, if you’re in the same predicament as we were, or if you just want a new kitchen gadget, how to update your kitchen faucet for less than $100 with this kitchen faucet! Below is a photo of our previous kitchen faucet.

Here are some photos of our updated kitchen faucet.

Believe it or not this faucet is extremely lightweight. When it comes to installation we were incredibly surprised just how quick and easy it was to install. It took all of five minutes. You’ll want to make sure you shut your water off prior to installing. ;)

I love the coil feature on the top of this kitchen faucet! It’s an industrial look, but fits in nicely with our minimal and modern’ish kitchen.

The chrome color of this kitchen faucet also matches our Ikea chrome cabinet/drawer handles perfectly!

The handle has two different spraying features, a regular sink flow, and a spray! I love using the spray when cleaning the perimeter of the sink.

Overall the dimensions are slightly different than our previous faucet, however it works perfectly with our sink! I cannot recommend this kitchen faucet enough.
