I was on the hunt for the perfect nightstands for the boys room. Everything I was finding was out of my budget, and even worse cheaply made. Today I'm going to share the easiest console table tutorial on the internet. To build this you'll need 6x6 and 2x4 pieces of lumber from The Home Depot. We purchased these for our deck build. You can view all of the reels for the deck build starting here on Instagram. Above all, always try and utilize your scrap wood. The less waste, the better.

How to build the console table

Every space is different, so the measurements of this table might not work in your space. However, these are the measurements of my console table below.

  1. 6x6 legs- 28 inches tall
  2. 2x4 top- 40 inches long
  3. 4x4 support- 40 inches long

First I cut all four 6x6 legs using our miter saw. Then I cut down my 2x4's for the top. Lastly, I added a 4x4 support in the center by notching out a spot with my miter saw and crow bar. Using construction screws, I attached the middle support to the legs, and lastly the top boards. Finally, I gave the console table its finished look by applying this stain.

Enjoy a few after photos below. Check out our 30 second reel of this build here on our Instagram.
